Hobbing

Using the continual gear cutting processing, hobbing of external teeth, spur and helical gearing as well as spline and clutch gears are created.

Fly cutting with carbide inserts

Fly cutting is a machining process with carbide inserts. In this process, both, the tool and the workpiece are rotating. The number of teeth are produced by a programmed RPM ratio between tool and workpiece.

The tooth profile is generated with form ground carbide inserts.

Excellent machine compatibility

Profilator offers hobbing and fly cutting as a module in the modular system. This technology can be done as single or double spindle machines.
Whether pointing, pocket groove milling, turning or roll deburring: Other practical extensions of the process chain are also planned for process integration.
